We really enjoyed our stay and found the property more to our liking than we’d even expected. Our favorite spots were the two porches where we spent the majority of our time reading, playing games and visiting. The bigger upper deck was perfect for our dog to enjoy safely too. The hosts were quick to respond when we encountered a bit of trouble with the hot tub after a thunderstorm and when we realized we’d left an important item behind which was very reassuring. Thanks for a great retreat! |

Great location, surrounded by impressive hiking trails. The place is also stocked with many board games and puzzles, which was a bonus. But be prepared to wash your own dishes because it doesn't have a dishwasher. |

loved the cabin , about 10 minutes from the Davidson River. very peaceful and relaxing stay. David even had some local restaurant menus and helpful brochures. the downstairs had a noticeable smell, most likely from a wet carpet near the hot tub. since we stayed upstairs, it didn't bother us. other than that, everything was great. |

Perfect location. The only issue I had during my visit was a repair person showing up unexpectedly on the one day I had dedicated wholly to introversion and reading. |

Very peaceful and relaxing stay! The Airbnb was exactly as described. We spent most of our time on the balcony surrounded by nature & the neighborhood was very quiet and secluded. We also loved the use of the hot tub!! The only 2 complaints we really had were that the beds were super uncomfortable and we got yelled at by one of the neighbors before 9:30 pm on one of the nights we were there for playing board games outside (I’m pregnant and can’t even drink and we weren’t being that loud). So I would recommend possibly looking elsewhere if you enjoy spending time outside after dark. Other than that everything was great! Definitely worth the price we paid and check in/out was a breeze |

My wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend trip for her birthday. It was a great location, 10-15 minutes from grocery stores, downtown and restaurants. We enjoyed a massage in Brevard, then got immediately in the hot tub, it was so relaxing. The hot tub was clean and a perfect way to end the evening. We enjoyed the patio for morning coffee, you really feel like you are in a tree house. The kitchen was well appointed and clean. I enjoyed the vanity room on the side of the master bedroom, it was perfect for getting ready for a night out. My only suggestion would be to add an outdoor flood light at the top of the driveway because it was very dark and hard to see, we were always on the lookout for bears! Other than that, the home was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again. |

Great place for Mother's Day weekend with my husband and I and my parents! Peaceful, beautiful area, we all enjoyed sitting on the balcony, hanging out in the game room, cooking and eating together. Good hiking close by. |

Loved this little mountain cabin under the trees! And it is completely under the trees, there is no direct sunshine. Only point of caution is that the stairs to the main floor are steep and slick, I almost slipped myself. For my 15 year old dog, this was a total no-go. Fortunately she only weighs 20lbs so I carried her up and down the stairs each time like her own personal escalator |

Beautiful scenery and cozy space. Private balcony within the trees makes it worth it alone! It was very close to some hiking we did, but not too far from the city. Had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We would love to stay again! |

Great place on the side of the mountain. Very quiet and peaceful. They have a binder and basket full of restaurant menus, things to do, places to go, etc.; that was very helpful. Definitely recommend |

The cabin was as expected- rustic and cozy. We loved the hot tub and the brand new oven was great. The beds could use an upgrade and the outdoor furniture needs new cushion. The air/heat were easy to set - we had spring-like gorgeous weather so we had to use both. |

The Stoney Brook Cottage was an extreme cute cottage that sits alongside a beautiful creek and beautiful nature. The cottage is has a few other cottages around but a very quiet community. The hot tub was very relaxing after skiing for the day. Sitting outside on the porch, drinking coffee was very relaxing listening to the creeks water flow. The host provided all of our amenities. Very clean and organized. |

This quaint Cottage is in a very peaceful setting was more toward the “rustic” side. Had a well stocked kitchen for cooking and nice sized Refrig. Heating(as we stayed in the winter) was by propane-but kept house warm. We somehow missed the concept that the main living space was up a long flight of steps-FYI. Otherwise we enjoyed out stay-hot tub and all. |

It was quiet, comfortable and enough like home for us to be able to take care of our infant daughter in a setting that was as good as home. Having a full kitchen and laundry access was a huge plus. The hot tub and secluded location was what finally made the decision for us and it was well worth it. |

We had an excellent visit! The house was cozy and comfortable. Little older but clean. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the light cleaning expected at check out to avoid a $50 fee-strip and remake beds, start a load of towels, take out trash, wash dishes. That was unexpected. |

We enjoyed the property and the location. More consistent heating downstairs would be an improvement. The oven on the range doesn’t work; we used the vintage wall oven. We did not use the hot tub, but definitely would have if we had one additional day. |

This was a great mountain retreat. Loved the 2 living spaces and the hot tub was really nice. It was a nice neighborhood. The house was well stocked and well presented. I loved the porches and watching the brook go by. Very close to great mountain attractions as well as Brevard and Hendersonville. Not too far from a grocery store. Fantastic location. |

our family of 5 had an absolutely amazing time!! my older boys loved being downstairs while my hubby I and the baby stayed upstairs. the hot tub was on point as well as the views from the balcony. we were just a short drive to Brevard Hendersonville, ashville, where there is so much to do! our family would absolutely love to stay again!! |

This cottage was just right for our family vacation. We had more than enough room for the 4 of us. We enjoyed sitting upstairs on the deck enjoying the sounds of nature and the quiet seclusion of the woods. There were tons of games and activities to keep the kids busy, although after a long day out hiking and exploring, they didn’t even need it. The hot tub was enjoyable. My daughter and I used it one evening and it was very relaxing after a day of hiking. It was wonderful having a washer dryer to use as well. The check out process was fairly easy if given enough time in the morning. We followed the instructions in the book, which were to simply empty all garbage into the can outside, strip and remake the beds with the linens provided and start a load of towels. We cleaned all dishes as well, although we didn’t use many. We would definitely stay again. |
