Coolness with trees and small stream on rear deck. Loved the woodwork with the bear paw impressions. My granddaughter and daughter loved sliding rock. This was our 11th visit to Brevard. We love the area. Our other daughters were there with their family close by also. Nice family time. Downside lost key but left fee to cover. Overall nice stay |

Wild Rock cottage is a cute, well-stocked cottage in a beautiful mountaintop location. My only complaint is that the drive up is very steep and narrow - can’t imagine how you can pass another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. Also the driveway from that steep narrow road is a 340 degree hairpin turn - also very steep. We were happy we had 4-wheel drive. The wide wheel base on my vehicle made that turn impossible on a single try. |

We would be back again, but I don’t think my back could take it. I believe the beds only had box springs on them, which was fine for my husband, and daughter, although I have back problems and it literally hurt my bones to sleep in those beds. I ended up on the couch a couple nights. Other than that we loved our stay. There was a pretty bad storm over there and the TV went out. I wasn’t familiar with this cable TV and it was late at night. I had to contact David and he responded very quickly, and the TV is back in the time. |

We had a good stay once we got there, but our GPS took us to a different home a few doors down - would have appreciated some written directions ahead of time that clarified the location. Also, had no way to reach the owner because my VRBO app wasn't working due to WIFI challenges in the area. Again, once we got there, was a nice location and as advertised. |

I want to preface my review with this spot was not for us but that does not make it a bad spot for everyone. We weren't big fans of the area outside of the main area as it was overgrown and we feared ticks and snakes. And the water access was limited from what we found. Plus, the water at the access we found was not moving and brown. Not ideal, in our opinion for playing in the water. However, there was a large area cleared for throwing a frisbee or tossing a ball to your dog, which we did. Again, this may be the perfect spot for someone else. |

Everything was absolutely amazing. Except! The hot tub was out of order and that was one of our personal requirements when searching for a place to stay. We were not notified before arriving. Everything else was perfect! Extremely well stocked. We needed absolutely nothing but clothes and food. The home was spotless and the property was well maintained. |

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It is close to DuPont state forest where we spent most of our time hiking or biking. The hot tub was very nice in the evenings. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. |

We really enjoyed our stay and found the property more to our liking than we’d even expected. Our favorite spots were the two porches where we spent the majority of our time reading, playing games and visiting. The bigger upper deck was perfect for our dog to enjoy safely too. The hosts were quick to respond when we encountered a bit of trouble with the hot tub after a thunderstorm and when we realized we’d left an important item behind which was very reassuring. Thanks for a great retreat! |

The home is set in a very peaceful area, tucked away in the woods for privacy. Close to many natural attractions, state parks etc. Close to small towns to get supplies or have lunch or dinner. During the stay the hot tub was great for relaxing, beds were comfortable. The property owner was easy to get a hold of if you needed something or had a problem. |

This place was perfect for my reactive dog who loves the water. I had a long leash so she could explore the woods and she loved the creek! Apple Maps did take me to the gas station, but I found it shortly after. It is further back on the same road and the directions were helpful! |

The place is exactly as described. It was spotlessly clean and smelled great. It is right next to a small creek. Charcoal grill right next to the property made some memorable dinners. While checking out, we had forgotten some our stuff there, and David was able to retrieve them from the cleaning folks for us. Overall a great experience. |

Great place. Lots of room to run! My Tigger loved it. It wasn't buggy at all. I brought my rainboots because the reviews said it was muddy. Only place it's muddy is on the river bank. If you want to go down there with your dog while they swim rainboots are a good idea. Otherwise it's grass everywhere. |

The house was located on a quiet street within walking distance of my daughter’s house. The house only had one step to get inside. This was a necessity since my husband has limited mobility and uses a walker. We were able to put his electric scooter on the carport so it was out of the way and out of the weather. We enjoyed having room to have meals with my daughter and son-in-law. The decorations were more for gamers but that was not a problem for us. Only two suggestions, have a box of tissues in the bathroom or kitchen and put some light fixture over the kitchen table. This was our first experience staying in an Airbnb so I really have nothing to compare this home to another. For a first time experience, it met our needs and we enjoyed our stay. |

The house was well supplied with the basics. I was not expecting to have to change the linens out before leaving. I think using COVID19 as an excuse to have your guests do normal work expected from your cleaning crew is ridiculous! You should be up front with that information prior to booking. We will most likely stay somewhere else next time. |

loved the cabin , about 10 minutes from the Davidson River. very peaceful and relaxing stay. David even had some local restaurant menus and helpful brochures. the downstairs had a noticeable smell, most likely from a wet carpet near the hot tub. since we stayed upstairs, it didn't bother us. other than that, everything was great. |

David was excellent.. his property is a gem for sure, the porch is extremely cool, the surrounding trees and being so high up you can’t beat some of the views you’ll get to see.. when it rains it’s extremely peaceful up there. This cabin is more like a condo cabin to me, it’s elegantly styled with a mild modern feel (so it feels “new”) with all of the cabin features it give great vibes.. loved it for sure ???? would I come back you ask? Well absolutely if I didn’t try another one of David’s properties! This particular cabin/condo was very easy to get to and not very far from much which is a triple plus! |
