My husband and I stayed here for a night and enjoyed our stay. The front porch was our favorite part because it was so peaceful drinking coffee and listening to the wildlife! The cabin was very clean and cozy. You do have to do some additional steps for cleaning before you check out but we didn’t mind! |

Wonderful place..made me feel like I was in the mountains not in a neighborhood really close to trails.. was clean and beds were comfortable..bathroom was nice..great coffee machine and nice porch with a swing to enjoy it! We just had no instructions on how to leave afterwards..we didn’t know that we had to remake beds with fresh linens from a closet there was NO information given or posted !!! we surly would have but will pay the extra money but feel it’s kinda unfair because of no instructions..I’ve never had to make beds at any rental I’ve stayed at before but now I know Oh ya there’s loud beagles that barks at you on drive way from the house above you every morning |

The home was further away from the neighbors than I expected. Nice hedges and elevation difference gave one more privacy than expected. There is a long low step on/off the porch which makes moving large suitcases easy, but you may miss the step if you are not paying attention. Plenty of room in the house and nice bathrooms and refrigerator while not being so fancy that it doesn't feel like home. While I wish I was a bit closer to the places I wanted to hike, there are no rentals in the park. This location was still within an hour of everywhere I wanted to hike, so still good. I only communicated with David a few times, but I found him to be understanding and friendly. If I ever vacation here in the future, I would love to stay again! |

Great place on the side of the mountain. Very quiet and peaceful. They have a binder and basket full of restaurant menus, things to do, places to go, etc.; that was very helpful. Definitely recommend |

We stayed at the DuPont Cottage for a girls mountain bike weekend. This was a perfect location for access to DuPont forest and had everything we needed during our stay. |

We had an excellent time staying here! It's very private, so it really was just us there the whole time. No one bothered us. The queen bed we slept on was extremely comfortable. The creek was beautiful. I took my time looking at different places before booking and this one was definitely the right choice. |

Good place to stay a few days at an affordable price point, short distance to hiking and riding in the area and the town of Brevard. Beds were comfortable and had lots of towels and the fenced in yard was great. Some furniture was aged and kitchen minimally stocked with older cookware and such. Overall a decent value for our family’s trip to the area. |

This was a lovely cabin. Our favorite part was sitting in the hot tub with the beautiful view. It was a good base to explore Brevard, as well as local breweries and wineries. |

The cabin was as expected- rustic and cozy. We loved the hot tub and the brand new oven was great. The beds could use an upgrade and the outdoor furniture needs new cushion. The air/heat were easy to set - we had spring-like gorgeous weather so we had to use both. |

This was our family’s second time staying at this cottage. My family loves staying here. The amenities such as a dishwasher and 2nd bathroom are nice to have! I think there is a different cleaning crew cleaning since the last time we stayed which was nice. They had soft towels and little shampoos and soaps for us to use! We also didn’t need to change the bedsheets like we needed to the last time we stayed. The house is in a great location…about 15 minutes from Brevard and less than 10 minutes from DuPont (hiking and biking trails). We would love to stay here again in the future! |

loved the stay! One thing i will point out that wasn't a huge issue was the gate that fences in the back portion for dogs would not properly latch. My dog pushed through it very easily! But other than that had a great time! |

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything is as described in the listing. The location is very private. There is one home up on the hill but it was always quiet and we didn’t even see the neighbor until the last day. The creek is so peaceful and the hot tub is an amazing benefit at this price point! The cottage is not big but felt like a perfect size for our family of 4. The location between DuPont and Pisgah forest was perfect. We would love to stay again. |

Such a lovely peaceful little cottage. I loved the place and felt very much at home while away from mine, and I so enjoyed that wonderful hot tub! Conveniently located close to Pisgah forest and DuPont for great hiking/mountain biking. |

Amazing price & amazing location. We stayed for 3 days and went on numerous trails nearby (hiked all over DuPont, stopped by looking glass falls & went up to Jump off rock). It is about a 20 minute drive to any restaurant but that wasn’t a problem for us - we live driving around. Clean. Cozy. Affordable. Would stay with this host again. |

Beautiful private hunters lodge themed cabin. Cozy living space with fireplace. Perfect for couples or small families. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the secluded scenery and unwinding from everyday hussle and bussle. Cabin itself is very clean and had all necessities I needed for our time spent. The driveway is at an incline that may be tricky if snowy but we didn't run into that during our stay. We plan on returning in the future. We even saw an albino squirrel while there! |

We have come back to this Mountain Hideaway 3 times now. Great for our Labrador Retriever. Close to great hiking and beautiful views (falls) at Dupont State Park and Pisgah National Forest! |
