This place is a gem! The sound of the brook was so peaceful as we relaxed in the hot tub after days filled with mountain biking and hiking. The house was so clean and the appliances are updated. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place. |

This was the perfect quiet spot for my and my daughter's mini mother/daughter vacay. The cabin was very cozy and lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the porch communing with nature or sitting inside with the fireplace going. We'd definitely stay here again. |

Easy to find and great mountain side views! We arrived late-ish after 8pm and the cabin already had the heat on and hot tub on ready to start a great few day get-away! |

A perfect space to relax and escape to the mountains. Great location, close to town and hiking trails. The hot tub and deck space is perfect for relaxing and the kitchen was nice for making food for the week. Would definitely stay here again. |

We enjoyed our stay at Babbling Brook cottage. The hot tub was especially enjoyable. We enjoyed the little fireplace, especially during the chilly times. We wish the weather had been warmer so we could have hung out on the porches more often. The babbling brook nearby was soothing to watch and hear. We'd definitely stay again. |

This cabin is in a great location, very close to an entrance of the Pisgah State Forest and Dupont Forest. We hiked every day. The hot tub and deck are also nice, especially with the stream so close by. There is plenty of room to cook and hang out. The mattresses could use an upgrade, as noted by previous guests. Otherwise, a really nice cabin. |

This was a wonderful location - close to both Brevard and Hendersonville downtowns with plenty of restaurants and breweries (we loved Dry Falls). Also so close to Pisgah and DuPont Forests for excellent hiking and outdoor activities. The house was great with a beautiful deck to relax, the hot tub which was great and the back area with a fire pit. We really enjoyed the space. |

Absolutely loved this place, the kitchen was stocked and the hot tub and porches were amazing. Wifi was in and out a few times, but it nothing a quick reset wouldn’t fix. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. |

This cabin was great! Located close to hiking trails and some great local restaurants and breweries. The hot tub was a perfect addition after a day of hiking and a wonderful place to sit the night it stormed. Loved having a fenced place for our dogs to hang out while we were on the deck. Cabin was very clean and well stocked with all we needed. A wonderful break from the city. |

Celebrated our early 26th anniversary at Mountain Shadows. The property was easy to find, just around the corner from several other cabins and houses. Nestled on the side of a sloping lot it was not as high up as we would have liked but the views were still pleasant. The property was clean and smelled like mild disinfectant. Some documentation was worn and some lacking as there were no extra blank hot tub agreements. These are mandatory according to the notices posted, so we made sure to read and then sign the bottom of another paper. The hot tub was clean and easy to use and very nice to sit in early in the morning in the cold of the day or after hiking or activity. The kitchen was in use each day as we ate most meals in, but the pendant lights over the bar flicker and we had to keep them off because we did not want to trigger a migraine in my wife. The bathroom had good water pressure and we had plenty of hot water. The bed was firm but pleasant. We would have loved a kingsize instead of a queen but we slept fine. We enjoyed the quiet location and spent time reading and relaxing. We also watched tv several times and it was nice to have Netflix and other streaming services on the devices. The couch in the Living room is quite awful, and we were thankful we had read some other reviews which mentioned it so we were prepared. It truly is not comfortable and needs replacing. Our goal was to spend some time enjoying waterfalls and this place was perfectly located to do just that. The property is in the heart of some glorious hikes and beautiful sites. We spent time in Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Recreation area hiking easy to moderate trails and viewing Slippery Rock, Moore's Cove Falls, Triple Falls, and High Falls among other stunning local vistas. Highly recommend searching "waterfalls near me" when you are here. We also spent time in local towns such as Brevard where we walked along Main street and spent an inordinate amount of time at O.P. Taylor's toy store - not just for kids trust us! We checked out a top-rated craft/nano-brewery and enjoyed a beer flight at Okalwaha Brewery and some awesome live music led by the French Broad Valley Music Association (FBVMA) one evening and then wandered downtown Hendersonville on another day. We would recommend Mountain Shadows as a lovely little cabin close to amazing waterfalls and glorious nature and quaint towns. Great place, great stay. |

This was our second trip we have taken to falling water cabin. We brought my 90 year old grandma with us this time & she loved everything about the house. The home is good for elderly if they can make it up & down 5-6 stairs with assistance. We are still as impressed as we were the first time we came. We didn’t want to leave so quick the second time around so we extended our time there. David was super quick with accepting requests & has always made us feel welcome. It’s an easy trip coming from the Charlotte area, no super large hills or anything like that. You don’t need a 4x4 (except maybe when you’re expecting winter weather but that’s just for precautionary measures) to make it to this quaint mountain home like you do so many other rentals in the mountains. We will be back eventually for sure. Thanks for having us again, David! |

This property was very much on point. Nice house with a great layout. Deck with Hot tub was great and fenced run was nice. My main critique was around the sleeping conditions, a very bright street light shines directly into both bedroom and the spare room doesn’t have a curtain. Mattresses were very firm and not very comfortable. |

We loved our stay here! We spent most of our time in the hot tub and loved the sound of the creek running right next to us. The location was close enough to town that we were able to enjoy the local restaurants and breweries without having to go too fair. This was a perfect place! |

The cabin is clean and thoughtfully planned out to make your stay easy and comfortable. The view is amazing, and the hot tub is a major plus. Make sure your vehicle can get up a steep, narrow mountain road! 5 out of 5 stars!! |

We loved this place!! Very close to all the hiking, grocery stores, and restaurants but still is in a tucked away and private location. The fenced deck and yard was great for our dog. The house was very clean and the check out cleaning list was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend staying here! |

Perfect place for Couple and Pet and two kids. Two fireplaces, heated fan in bathroom and central makes it very toasty. All amenities were there, hot tub comfortable and warm and quiet neighborhood.. Got in hurry at check out but owner is welcome to place this is in guest book. Bring salt or litter if weather is icy or snow. Steep drive. Thanks. D&D |

My family & I had a great time staying at David's! Very cozy home & we loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit out back. David was very accommodating to changes in our plans & responded very quick to our messages. If I had to complain about anything, it was the fact that before checking out we had to strip the beds & make them up again. First Airbnb where we've paid more than $80 cleaning fee to have to make beds & gather dirty linens & towels before checking out. Other than that everything was very accommodating & clean. |

We had a great time exploring the trails near the house and so did both our pups! One night we set our projector up on the porch and watched movies in the hot tub! We loved how quiet it was and how secluded we felt. David was quick to respond with any questions, which we really appreciated! |

Thanks for the great time! The space was great and we enjoyed the hot tub. We had a very relaxing time and we were thrilled to have a stream right beside us. We did not use the outdoor firepit but it looked like an awesome spot. We were not a fan of the pillows on the king size bed as they did not offer any support. We went ahead and paid the extra money to avoid doing as many chores on the cleaning list. We still picked up after ourselves, but we figured that we might as well pay the extra fee since we'd already be charged the cleaning fee. The location was quiet and peaceful, and close enough to Brevard and Hendersonville for us to explore the area. The foosball table was a great and my boyfriend and I enjoyed it as well. Thank you again for the great space to get away and have some relaxation! |

We had a great stay! The cabin was located in a beautiful area with a Brook behind it. The cabin had cable TV. It was nice to relax and watch movies. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. We loved the fireplace! We enjoyed hiking, local restaurants (in Brevard and Hendersonville), and the hot tub. We brought our 4 pound chihuahua. She enjoyed the fenced in porch. Our last night we had a pretty good snow, and someone came to dig us out. We greatly appreciated it! We would stay again. |

This place was absolutely beautiful. We loved and the Mountain View and the romantic hot tub. The only thing that we didn’t like was the road getting there. It was very narrow. We had to leave a day early bc it was supposed to snow and we were scared we wouldn’t be able to get out safely. But overall, a beautiful place! |

My wife and I had a wonderful time in this secluded cabin. We had plenty of privacy and the cabin was great. The only downside really was a dog incessantly barking down the hill, but no fault of this cabin. We would definitely return! Oh, the listing said shampoo was provided but there wasn't any that we saw. We luckily had brought our own. This was maybe a fluke. |

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! The hot tub was awesome way to be able to be outdoors with the chilly weather. Everything was super clean when we arrived. Loved how close it was to hiking in Brevard. Hope to visit again when the weather is a little warmer so we can have breakfast on the beautiful porch overlooking the babbling brook. |

This is a perfect spot to get away! Quiet and beautiful views. The hot tub was a cap to every night. David responded immediately to any questions before and during the trip. You are so close to endless hiking trails! We will def be back. This def is a hidden gem and 10 out of 10 recommendations! |

It was a wonderful relaxing time at Hill Top. There wasn’t one thing that was overlooked by the owners. The house was immaculately clean, ready and comfortable for guest. It actually felt like being at home. Relaxing in the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the day. Hill Top is our place to stay from now on when we come to N.C. |
